review 1: I have read every one of J.R. Ward's books and have been waiting quite a while for this one. It did not disapoint. I have been waiting for years for Quinn and Blay to get together. When you read a series, there are always people that you root for through every book of the series and this is the couple that I rooted most for. Excellent characterization and it grabs you by the throat from the first page.
review 2: I really wanted to give this book 5 stars but I sadly couldn't. I LOVE Quinn, love Quinn and Blay, love Quinn and Layla, love Blay's parents, did I mention I love Quinn!? But to me there was just too much time spent on the side stories on characters I don't feel any connection to right now. I'm sure these side stories will come into play in future books... more but they just seemed pointless to me in this book. less
