review 1: Utterly baffled as to why I powered through over half of this series. While there were some entertaining scenes, overall it fell kinda flat for me, and got worse as the series progressed. The author also has a rather unfortunate preoccupation with adding unnecessary H's to her names/words (re: Tehrror, Rhage, ahvenge, Rehvenge, etc.). And the dialogue between the characters is ridiculous. Also PSA: if you're writing any sort of romance, erotica, whatever, PLEASE don't constantly compare someone's penis to being roughly the same length and girth as an arm. This is literally every book. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but that sounds painful and alarming and not sexy in the slightest.
review 2: Another great one from Ward. I loved the depth of the characters & th
... moree advancement of so many plots - all woven together perfectly. I love the beautiful, poignant, & often funny way with words that is classic Ward. She brings everything to life with words, making every single word count...so visual & real that you not only see it, you also feel, hear & smell it. Every single scene is alive. Lover Avenged is a story worthy of Rehvenge...I ended the book loving & respecting him much more than I did going into it. Enjoyed all the heartbreaking & heart-touching moments involving not only Rehv, but also Wrath & John Matthew. Great set-up for the next book! A Must Read! Loved it! less

OMG! Absolutely loved this book. It is mammoth, has a lot of sub plot, but that's what makes it so good. Rev is the perfect bad boy with a heart of gold...for a sex selling drug lord. Xhex and John's larger roles and intermingling spice up what is already a fully packed story. Add a bit of Wrath, a bunch of love, lies...attempted murder, conspiracy. The list goes on.Took me months to read while publishing my 2nd para romance and writing my third, but the deeper I got in, the harder it was to put down. Now I'm desperate to get my hands on the next in the series. Even better than a lifetime supply of chocolate, these books are to die for!

As with the other previous books in this series, with this installment, the series just keeps getting better and better. I won't give away spoilers, but let's just say things have ratcheted up several notches.Ward knows how to keep her readers enthralled.Up til now, I've never been sure how I felt about the character Rehvenge. Suffice it to say he's now one of my favorites. If you need a different take on the vampire mythos, look no further. Ward has carved out her own world and it's awesome.
