review 1: I have to say that this book made me cry pretty much the whole book. The part where Wrath is holding his son in the air with the cloth that was given to him and realizing that his son will have a choice just get me. And than that is followed by his people bowing to him and having Beth tell him that he is King for life. This book was amazing and as soon as I was done reading it, I reread it right away something I've never done with any book. This book is def a must read, must own.
review 2: I'll say it again. (Oh, the redundancy), not enough V & Butch. Enjoyed the new storylines, & love that iAm is becoming attached to the "g*ddamn cat" as he puts it. Feel sure that cat is more than it appears to be. Will look forward to release of The Shadows, & as always, will
... more continue to hope for more Butch & Vishous. (And less Jane...) One of the things I liked the best was Wrath wanting his rule to be a democracy, & to make a better future for his son. And the fact that the civilian vampires chose him to be their King for the rest of his life. The glymera needed a swift kick in the ass for their overbearing, self-centered superiority complex. Wonder what is to become of the Band of Bastards. Change of leadership, perhaps? And not for the better, I suspect. Will look forward to the release of the next book, & continue to hope for more Vutch. less
