review 1: I really enjoyed this book, the characters as much as the plot. Even if I would have loved a little more adventures concerning Richard and his thirst for vengeance after his escape. The bad point is the too many sexual scenes, too graphic for me. I was somehow disappointed by the fact that the heroes seem not be able to do anything when they are together other than make love. I can understand passion, but there is not a tender behavior like Duncan stroking Amelia's cheek or Amelia putting her hand on his forearm without an instant sexual reaction... for me, being in love is not always that, I would have appreciated more this story if after they started to be intimate they sometimes just have had some tender moments without endind in a graphic sexual scenes.Otherwise, the au... morethor is really talented to describe Scotland and its fiery warriors and the wild and strong love you can feel for this beautiful country.
review 2: This book swept me away from the very first page and held me in a trance from page to page to page. I was just unable to put it down! Not that I was bothered by it. I don't know why I just NOW discovered Julianne MacLean... Did she do a great job writing out this out? Hell Yes.... Wit, humor, snark, smut, heartbreak, drama, and in the end a HEA after all that happened? Awesome job. Five Stars!!! less
