Highlander Trilogy
review 1: This is Angus MacDonald's story. He was Duncan MacLean, the Butcher of the Highlands, best friend and he had betrayed that friendship when Duncan turned his back on all the hatred and killing and fell in love with an English woman of all things. Angus learns to understand what took Duncan from fierce warrior to content country gentleman. His lass is the enemy's daughter and he claimed her as quickly as he claimed the castle that was stolen from his clan. Gwendolyn is no shrinking violet and stands up to her husband. I liked her character a lot. This was a great continuation in the Highlander series.
review 2: Ok. Muuuuch better than the first one. I didn't want to slap the girl this time. Well, not hard, anyway. She can't help that she was written as the typica
... morel "starving virgin". If I read one more reference to her "tiny hands", I was going to scream. Women don't have to be infantilized to deserve love. Even in old school historical romance novels. Despite all that and still being a little "bodice-ripper-y" for my (usual) tastes, it sucked me in pretty quickly. I'll download the final book of the trilogy and hope for the best. less
