review 1: This book did an excellent job on using the color brown to emphasize what season it was. It used time, referring to weeks to let the reader know just how close spring was. It also brought in different types of animals and their jobs they do each season, even if we don't like what they do. Example the birds, bears and the seeds. This book was nicely written, and the illustrations were simple but cute!
review 2: What a delightful story about waiting for something good to happen and the anticipation that comes with it. The illustrations are perfectly endearing in their sweetness. The artwork alone is enough of a reason to read and share this book. Done in browns and whites with small splashes of color until spring and all at once the pages burst to life. It would... more be a lovely way to accompany a lesson on the seasons and growing. less
