review 1: This may be the best mystery book I have read all year. Certainly it is the first in a series that I want to read more of. The book has been out for awhile and has all ready been made in Denmark into a movie. The book has a strong plot with what some have called a predicable ending. This is true in so far as most mysteries have predicable ending, that is to say the villain is usually caught. ,What impressed me the most was the unusual relationship between the lead detective, Carl Morck, and his Syrian assistant, Assad, who has skills that suggest a past worth knowing more about. Think of Watson keeping secrets from Holmes and from time to have having better insights and you have an idea of what i am suggesting. If you like the Harry Hole books then I think you may like th... moreis one.
review 2: Es la primera novela que leo de la serie "Departamento Q", y tengo que decir que me gustó bastante. Enfatifé bastante con el protagonista, el detective Carl, y sonreí con su relación con su ayudante Assad. Así mismo, la situación de la protagonista femenina y su largo cautiverio te mantiene en vilo.Es una perfecta combinación de misterio, estudio de personajes y algunos toques de humor, necesarios por otra parte en un relato tan angustioso. Seguiré leyendo más títulos del autor y su "departamento Q". Espero que no me defraude en próximas entregas! less
