review 1: Glad to see more of Linkubus. Though a lost Wayward is a difficult narrator. Do I trust that what I now know if true? What else has slipped through his memories?Amma going dark gave me bad feelings. I trusted she had a good reason for doing what she did but it was so frustrating that she refused to talk to Ethan. I'm concerned about that price she'll have to pay. I'm pretty sure I won't like it.I thought it was great that Lena and Liv hammered out their issues. I like them both, which is odd because usually I always see one as the 'other'.
review 2: This book, just like the rest of the series, was simply ok. Really, the books are pretty good once the story gets going, but as usual, there was nowhere near enough of a story to justify 500 pages. You could easil
... morey sum up all the action in this book into 100 pages or less. All those extra pages are filled with Ethan whining like a middle school girl. Really, the story itself is pretty good, the authors just need to cut out all the extra emotional drama. The reader does see new sides of several characters in this book, which is good. Link, John, and Liv all develop as characters in this book, and I liked that. Lena, Ethan, and Ridley are still pretty irritating, but I have hope that they too will mature in the final book. The setting and plot of this series is very interesting, and I think with better writing, I would really enjoy it. It was still entertaining, I just wish there was a little more substance and a little less drama. less
