review 1: Cute book about a dinosaur in need of a bath. Fun and silly. Kids should have fun acting out washing their feet, head, etc. They would also enjoy laughing at the silly mistakes Dini the Dinosaur makes when trying to take a bath. I plan to use this book for an upcoming Silly Sensory Story Time. I will have tubs of soapy water and toy dinosaurs for the kids to wash and play with after the book.
review 2: Dini gets REALLY dirty, but when he goes to take a bath, he forgets to take off his clothes. He tries to wash one body part (feet, legs, tummy, head) at a time, only to be returned to the bath by his patient Mother to wash that part after removing the clothes. Parents and possibly youngsters will wonder why mama didn't just make Dini take off all his clothes... more after the first failed bath attempt.A good sequence book, especially for kids just learning about getting dressed and undressed. The repetitive 'with a scrub-a-dub-dub' probably will appeal to the 3-and-unders. May also be good to share with kids who don't want to get undressed to bathe... My son was uninterested, despite the dinosaur. less
