review 1: The biggest compliment I can give a book series is that I would read it in its entirety a second time (can count on 1 hand the series that fit this description.) I would without fail reread this series. Nice to see a strong, powerful woman who doesn't define herself through a male. This series ends well and wraps the storyline up nicely, yet leaves enough available for the next series. Satisfying end.
review 2: I know this series is beloved to many. The character development is great, as is the world building. But the plot pacing? I spent four books wondering if anything would happen. Then each would have a cliffhanger plot twist at the end. For the fifth book, suddenly things happen. All the time. Endlessly. In my case, I could practically hear the musical sti... moreng with each one.So if you're wondering if you should read the whole series, it depends on how important the characters are to you, as well as the importance of plot. The good news for me is that the heroine did eventually develop a spine, at least one weapon, and some agency.Would I read the follow on books? I don't know. This one feels like a stopping place for me. less

I waited until I had read all the books in the fever series before writing my review and I'm glad that i did. The first 3 books were magical, easy to read, fun, exciting, had great characters. The fourth book I wasn't so sure about, the story line seemed to be lacking, it just didn't feel the same but the ending of that book was great, left you wanting, craving more. Just finished Shadowfever and I feel complete. The story ended nicely, it was all very well written and was a fun adventure right until the end.

What is love, anyway? Who needs the "L" word when you got a guy saying things like: "You're Mac, and I'm Jericho. And nothing else matters. Never will. You exist in a place that is beyond all rules for me. Do you understand that?" 5. ...just read it already!
