review 1: What a unique concept! 'Wildefire' had a fascinating, yet seamlessly mended conglomeration of mythological gods from stories and half forgotten religions around the world playing the part of a group of teens attending a private school in California. Fast-paced and action-filled, along with an ADORABLE (and yet mysterious- THAT ENDING, WHAT!) love interest, made 'Wildefire' a quick and fun read. Though the main character wasn't my favorite (she was just very... angry and acerbic) I still enjoyed her story. Now onto the next!
review 2: LOL! That's this book: seriously, I laughed so much! Because the storyline is funny, you ask? No, the plot really isn't funny, it's compelling actually. But the writing is hi-la-ri-ous! Seriously, when I talk and make bizarro conne... morections - bizarro, as claimed by others - I just chalk it up to my own cool brand of humor. And now... I've found another person who actually writes the way I think/talk! It's awesome! It's exactly how I love it!If you like a book with some hilarious analogies, but still a compelling story that's got you turning pages deep into the night? Then this is the book for you. The only reason why I haven't given it 5 stars, is because I wished there was some more in-depth characterization. Right now, I think too many characters in the book are depicted in a way that's still too shallow. I want more. More background, more world building, more opinions & characterization basically. Then I would've given it a 5 out of 5. But I'm definitely tuning in for the sequel! :-) less
