review 1: I read this book with my 2 kids each night before bed, and it ended up taking us a long time to finish. Sometimes when that happens a book loses a little of its luster. However I think those who enjoyed Capture the Flag will love this 2nd installment. It is exciting and suspenseful as Jose, Henry, and Anna work to solve another caper. This time the important, historical jaguar cup is stolen and the kids end up in the rainforest of Costa Rica to track it down. Readers will also look forward to the next installment as the kids' adventures continue.
review 2: The junior members of the Silver Jaguar Society are back again! This time, a precious gold cup that can trace its origins to the beginning of the Silver Jaguar Society has gone missing. Jose, Anna, and Henr... morey are off to Costa Rica with their guardians to figure out who stole it and return it to their rightful place. The lush setting of the Costa Rican rainforest is perfect for their many adventures, as they try to figure out whom they can trust and who is not exactly whom they seen to be. You do not have to have read Capture the Flag first, but you will want to after this! Recommended for grades 4-7. less
