review 1: I really enjoyed this book. Some reviewers have not liked it stating there was not enough paranormal element in it. I don't believe this was positioned like some of paranormal that Armstrong has been known for in the past. This is first and foremost a mystery/crime genre novel with elements of paranormal added to it. I believe the way in which she wrote the novel, the 2 elements complement each other very much.
review 2: It breaks my heart to give this only 3 stars. It started off with such promise, the hints of magic were fantastic, the storyline twisted and turned and twisted and turned... And twisted some more and yet there was nothing. The book moved nowhere. Nothing much happened.
