review 1: Good world-building. I like how each vampire caste has a different origin; this time around in book three we explored the Grigori. I found the heroine, Ariane, very appealing. It took me awhile to warm up to Damien, who is something of an anti-hero: a rude, jaded assassin. However, once he fell in love it was great fun to see him scramble around, out of his depth, trying to deal with his feelings.
review 2: I love paranormal fiction. I even hosted a book club with reluctant readers for Middle School on paranormal fiction. I also enjoy series books the most because I enjoy a never ending story that continues and grows. With all that said I was reluctant to read this book even though netgalley gave me this book because it was book three. WHAT a mistake. I ... moream going back and reading others by Kendra Leigh Castle. This book was well witten in charater development, even with me coming in late, and pace. GREAT READ, READ IT! less
