review 1: Three stars because I liked the series but it is getting old. Each new book has a new unusual demon mystery to solve but the basic storyline of Riley's search to find her mate is the same. The author also seems to be really stretching to come up with something different but it is getting harder to finish each book. Sometimes an author needs to have a character actually develop and conclude a series than milk it for so long.
review 2: Word of advice DO NOT READ THE SYNOPSIS OF THE NEXT COUPLE BOOKS!! They totally give away what comes and I did that. So due to that I sort of expected what was happening. So Riley gets a new case, it's only 3 weeks after the last book so not a huge gape. Zombies, hellhounds, sorceresses, magic, evil, death, souls, murders pretty mu... morech sum up this case and naturally they are linked some how. Though it was easier to pick up this time around. The action was good but I was waiting for the shoe to drop on the whole knowing what was going to happen front. So I was anxious to see how that happened. And it's amazing, but also sad too. Lots going on and now I've got to read the next one :) less
