review 1: These books are one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I had been reading in segments to avoid buying a hardcover, and finally got around to finishing it. I was still able to remember what had happened, even though it's probably been a year since I picked it up. They're no masterpieces of literature, but they're page-turners, and I find myself caring about the characters. I'm not sure that I like the way some relationships are evolving, but others are great, and the plot twist in this one has me wondering what's in store next! I'll have to just buy the next installment...
review 2: As always, I absolutely love Harrison's world and characters. I devoured this one in a day and wanted to reread it right away. Rachel goes through a few personal issues, from feeling t... morehat her friends are drifting away and with her own definition and acceptance of what it means to be a demon and a "grown-up". Things are also progressing with Rachel and Trent, though they are both so suspicious of each other and are in huge denial. They are still misreading the other's motives behind their actions and have been from their time at camp. I've been a Trent fan from the very beginning. As a huge paranormal romance reader, it's always assumed that the uptight, moody jackass generally only seems that way and is secretly a thoughtful individual that acts that way due to a tragic, painful past they hide behind their cold heartless mask. Trent's not completely redeemed in this book and I don't want him to be but we see a lot more insight to his actions because he's on the page more and from others observations to Rachel. There is also a great short story at the end that relives a scene from his point of view that had me wanting to dive into Ever After despite the late hour on a work night. less
