The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal
review 1: Funny, sweet and short! I've started reading this series backwards, but since then downloaded a second novel from Smashwords (also for free). The plus of this novella is that it introduced us to the characters from Jordan L. Hawk's novels and I'm definitely be reading her soon as well. The detective story was quick and very much to the point, but what I found really charming was the banter between the characters and how quickly you grew to like them. Recommended!
review 2: I haven't read either of the two series that are converging in this story, though I find myself interested and intrigued about both sets of characters after reading it. I am (disclosure) a big fan of historical paranormal mystery romance stories (of which this is one - though perhaps a bit l
... moreight on the romance in this iteration) and Remnant does not disappoint. I don't think it's necessary to have ready the respective series to engage with and understand this one (I hadn't and I liked it), though it probably would add to one's overall enjoyment. less

Great addition to both series; loved the interaction and tension generated by all four characters.

Huge fun, full of derring do, adventure, evil deeds and sorcerers gone to the bad :)

It was cute, but not my favorite installment of Whybourne & Griffin's adventures.
