review 1: K'Wan has showed his skills with this one! Very good plot and stories of the hood, but it seemed more of the stories were focused on the men instead of the "welfare wifeys". My biggest dislike was the introduction so many characters I had to remember who was who and how they were connected. The ending was great, I have to know what happens to Animal. I love his menacing character, and that sweet side of him when it came to his woman. He was definitely a beast in the streets, but knew how to love... well her at least. This is a must read in my eye; will be reading the next book "Animal" to get the scope on this guy. review 2: The Music Don’t StopWith the latest installment of “The Hood Rat Series” K’wan went back to his fast-paced roots. While I enjoyed ... morethe slower pace of “Section 8” the readers had mixed feelings and K’wan listened and took it up several notches in this banger. I love how with each book we keep up with past main characters and new ones take the helm. In this one Animal and Gucci step up to bat.Newest rap sensation Animal has to come back to NY and wants to stay under the radar. Is that possible with his rising stardom and a crew of friends who love to be seen? With Gucci by his side this awkward love affair is on Front Street. Trouble seems to always find Animal can he keep a level head?Gucci is high off love. She fell in love with the most unlikely person - the one they call Animal. Can she be the strong woman that he needs? Happy to be back in the streets of NY, she is living it up with her friends. While Gucci has a man with money she is a “made” woman. Will being “Wifey” keep her content? The colorful cast makes for good reading. This is not for the novice reader only the experienced can handle the onslaught of characters. K’wan is a beast with the characters, some very minor but all relevant to the story. I am waiting for the next in the series and September/October can’t come quick enough. Being a fan I know that’s his time of year and he stays faithful to those dates.SiStar TeaARC Book Club Inc.5 star rating less
