The author guides you through a deeper look at the nine gods that we often serve in our search for significance and meaning. The division of the book into three types of temple each with three goods provides a symmetry to the book that helps with application. I personally related to the temple of power and its gods of success, money, and achievement. The most disturbing aspect of the book is it deadly accurate portrayal of the secular values that have infiltrated the church and how this infiltration has allowed idolatry to flourish amongst believers.
