review 1: Yes, the title intentionally sounds like "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens because this story revolves around a Bastille Day celebration, a Charles Dickens lookalike contest, a former boys band, and the usual inhabitants of South Bass Island. Kylie Logan skillfully gives the reader a story that moves forward the characters established in the first book of the series while intermingling them with new names and situations. Looking forward to the next book...I wonder what classic the League of Literary Ladies will be tackling next?
review 2: Kylie Logan (who also writes as Casey Daniels) is my friend, so my review may be a bit biased. But I love this series, and the plot twists and characters based on books are the best. I don't want to ruin anything, bu... moret I did think she was going in a different direction at first - but the ending is satisfying (if anything, things wrap up too quickly). I can't wait to see where it's going in the next book. less
