review 1: 3.5 stars. I didn’t particularly like the first book in this series, but this one was much better. It’s the story of Kieran, the bartender from the previous book who got it on with both Ethan and Rhett. He is a self-described manwhore. As a favor he agrees to show “new in town” Alex around. Alex has known he is gay but has never been kissed because he comes from such a closeted town. The story is pretty simple and sweet but it read smoothly. I particularly enjoyed the visit to the sex shop. I’ll probably read the next in the series.
review 2: A 4 star fav for me. I'd love it if we could give 1/2 stars :)I always liked Kieran though at first I thought he was a tad shallow (in the Distance Between Us). But he was making sense, living his life ... moreand being honest with himself and others.Alex was such a sweetie. When Kieran met Alex he thought he had another play date, but was soon surprised to find himself in the role of Alex's advisor and mentor... not just lover.They made a great pair and I'm happy there was not a ton of angst. Sometimes it is so manufactured. This time it was just fear on Kieran's part but he took some advice and actually TALKED with Alex about what he was feeling. Enjoyed this read and recommend it. less
