review 1: I thought Ruby Redfort number 2 was just as good as the first book in the series if not better. I liked how it was based in the ocean/bay/water. This book was really suspenseful and funny. The characters, like Ruby and Clancy were very realistic (except that they fought super-vilains) and were well built up. I would recommend this book to people who like spy-ish books, like Spy School or Spy Camp.
review 2: I didn't know this was book 2, but from a reading standpoint, it didn't really matter.Ruby Redfort is cute, witty, and intelligent. I liked her and I loved the idea of a modern Nancy Drew, but the story fell flat for me. Maybe it was due to the wordiness of the it or the fact that Ruby is so intelligent, but it took her so long to put it all together. Even a... mores a 10-13 year old I think I would have figured it out before Ruby did. less
