review 1: I really liked this book and I thought it was a lot better than the first book. This is the second book in the Ruby Redfort series and it is a brilliant sequel to Ruby Redfort:Look Into My Eyes.Ruby works for Spectrum, a secret spy agency, she is extraordinarily clever. Ruby thinks something is calling her into the sea, some kind of monster. Ruby has found this amazing case and she thinks she is close to solving it but everyone goes to solve it in a different way, they have to save Ruby before it's too late.
review 2: This sequel stands alone as it is another case that Ruby is working on but Ruby is such a delightfully snarky, irrepressibly cocky character that I want to run out and read books 1 & 3 pronto. The pace is jaunty, the red herring is intriguing maki... moreng its 406 pages just fly. Bonus material for aspiring code breakers are supplied at the end of the book. The neon cover is eye-catching and appealing. Add this to your middle grade collection. It won't sit. less
