review 1: Please, please do not buy or read this book!. If you love God, the creator you will refuse to read the lies about him written throughout the book. The author told the regular, 'oh poor me, God don't love me cause bad things happened to me.' story line. That is bad enough. Blaming God for the bad that happens is what Satan wants you to believe and what he did and does, and what he said would be the case in the Garden of Eden. Blaming God for what Satan himself does is a way Satan gets folks to hate god. Author perpetuated this hate.I thought I would muddle through the book until the author said that Job's children deserved to die, because they were not God lovers. I shut the book and will not finish it.That is a bold faced lie and if anyone reads the Bible they ... morewill know that Satan caused their deaths, NOT God! And why!(Job 34:10)"Therefore, YOU men of heart, listen to me. Far be it from the [true] God to act wickedly, And the Almighty to act unjustly!"(James 1:13) "When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."Add to that, as if lies about God are not enough, the author knows only how to write tragedy. One day about four tragedies happened to the hero and heron. now of you are like me, that is over kill and too much. But that was only one day. It seemed every other chapter something bad was happening , serious, like near death, to one or the other or someone they love. I had to shut the book when the daughter of the hero fell and cracked her head and the author made the statement that Job's children deserved the death they suffered. If authors do not know that Satan causes much of the bad that happens to all humans, then they should not be writing books that claim to love God and Jesus. And enough already! Satan found his way on the back door, to fool any that may want to serve God with spirit and truth. (John 4:23, 24)"Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him.  God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth."So lovers of God, they will not even read, let alone buy this book. (2 Corinthians 6:17) 'Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’”'
review 2: I want to say I really liked it, but there was some key information to the plot that I thought should have been at the beginning and not the end. Yes, it left room for some suspense but kept me wondering until the end what the problem really was about and then when it was explained, it left me a little deflated. The dialogue was great and the character development was good enough to keep my interest despite the main plot twists. less
