review 1: I enjoyed this more than I did Mistwood. The characters were more developed I thought. Also relate-table to me and my life. I have an older brother and a younger sister. So when Darri was going through all the emotional turmoil with Callie I could relate and understood your devotion to her sister. One criticism for me personally was there was not enough of a romance factor for me. I would have like to see a little more like Mistwood. Although overall I was sucked in and captivated by this story and characters. Leah is a talented author and I cannot wait to read more from her. This is a definite must read.
review 2: I never read Mistwood, but since Nightspell is only a companion of the first book by Leah Cypess, you don't have to read the first one to understand
... more this book. This book had its moments. There was a lot of action packed between the pages and definitely some page-turning parts. There isn't that much, if any romance in this book despite the summary which was misleading. I was hoping to see more interaction between the prince and Darri. But overall I thought this book was a fun read full of ghosts, spells, royalty and revenge. less
