review 1: This was an interesting story, imaginative and lively. Tegan is suffering from grief following the suicide of her boyfriend and her grief is quite sensitively handled even while she's discovering who she really is and learning who to trust.There was a little sexual tension between Tegan and Ethan, the hot 277 year old vampire but that's not really the focus of this story, which was a shame I thought. No sex scenes at all, bummer :(I didn't like the ending in this at all, it was left open I suppose for the rest of the series and while it wasn't a cliffhanger, I don't feel very satisfied with how this ended.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. Tegan (main female) is grieving the death of her boyfriend and finally allows her BFF to get her out of her apt. Onl... morey to be drawn right into a world of vampires, warlocks, witches, and what not. Coincidentally, she's also one of the few who can withstand a vampire compulsion due to her blood. Very good story, very well written, and that ending had me clutching my kindle very tightly in my fingers and gasping at how it ended. It's a cliff hanger, but I must know what happens next. The rest of the books are going in my wishlist now. less
