review 1: Cute story. Great for middle-school girls. Characters perhaps were a bit too sugar-coated, but it's pleasant to have a book modeling warm parent-child & sibling relationships, boys as trusted friends [to girls], working-class/average socio-economic families, kids doing well at school who have outside interests besides computer games, kids receiving encouragement to pursue goals & support in learning tough life lessons (but not too tough). This book will make for a fun MCBA book discussion with our 4-6 graders.
review 2: This book is about a girl named Sophia who loves to act and she finally get a job to do a commercial but it for a bakery that her best freind ever hate them because her mom and dad own a bakery and that there commotion but she dosent tell her ... morebecause she didnt get it yet. I love this book because it is realy good and I can relate to it. I would recmand this book because it more for 4-6 graders and they might just love it to. leila B 10/9/13 less
