review 1: Loved this! This story is both humorous and sexy. Millie definitely curses herself when she says to a friend, “I could use a big dose of fate right now,” after learning of a teacher position she had applied to was now available. Following after the interview, Millie is slightly discouraged and ends up at a bar to ease her nerves where she meets some athletic hottie named Coop. They shoot the night away with drink after drink and end up at his place later that night. Not knowing what to do next, she ends up sneaking out of his place while he’s fast asleep. Well, how’s this for fate? Weeks later, she learns that a certain athletic hottie just so happens to be assistant coach at the school she recently landed the position for after being worried she had flunked the in... moreterview. Coop is not happy one bit when they cross paths once again, a look of abhorrence about him that she could only assume pertained to her sneaky slip after their secret rendezvous. Well, do they do mend the connection they had found between each other that first night, but not without some trouble, at the bar again nonetheless. Definitely had fun reading this and cannot wait to read more books by Liv Morris!
review 2: I’m not typically into short stories because I am a fast reader and for me they are more like reading a menu at my favorite restaurant. I decided to read this one because of the picture on the front cover of the e-book (two arms in hand-cuffs). Here’s what I liked:I liked the initial premise about the story. I especially liked the fact that the main character addresses the reader with humor. It is what made the story interesting. Here’s what I didn’t like:The main character seemed a little too immature, considering she was applying to be a teacher. Also, I know the story was short, but it seemed like the heroine and the hero, jumped into bed so quickly (it probably had to do with all her drinking), and therefore I didn’t have time to really see chemistry between the two.I think the interaction of the main character to the reader is what carried the story. If the story had been a little longer, I think that I would have enjoyed it even more. less
