review 1: Great romance novel.Sophia Noirot is the publicity genius for Maison Noirot, the dressmaking salon she runs with her sisters. She's busy, her older sister just married a duke and she has too much work. She has no plans for romance.But then Clara, their favorite customer, runs away from home and Sophia is forced to band together with the Earl of Longmore to find her.Complications arise and the two fall in love. Wonderful plot, memorable characters.Best read in order, Silk is for Seduction is first.
review 2: I really love Loretta Chase's work, and this book was one of her better ones. The banter was terrific and had me laughing out loud, and the story had romance, action, and drama. Each character was completely unique, which made it very easy to keep track of w... moreho was who. Even the minor characters were wonderful, Fenwick (a.k.a. Mad Dick) being my favorite in this book. The historical details were there to set the tone and provide the setting, but they didn't overpower the plot. Definitely a good read. less
