review 1: Quite surprised by this book (never read the author before so dont know what to expect) in that the story was a tad unusual. There are a million books about husbands/wives leaving but this one was does open up a few options-half way through I thought that the husband had killed himself once all the details of his life came to light but felt that it needed more resolution. I mean Jackson, in the end, just went and said "Goodbye" so would have liked a clearer ending.
review 2: I have read Lucy Clarke's first novel ' The Sea Sisters' and absolutely loved it so couldn't wait to read this one. Lucy has a way of writing that you never know what's coming next. There are so many twists and turns in this book, you think you know what's going to happen and then something
... more unexpectedly happens which you weren't prepared for. The plot is so gripping and the words are so beautiful, how Lucy describes everything is just amazing. The cover to this book looks amazing too. Loved this book, it will stay with me forever. less
