review 1: PRETTY NICE READ SET IN ENGLAND ABOUT (DI) LORNE SIMPKINS. SHE HAS A LOT OF PERSONAL PROBLEM TO DEAL WITH WHILE TRYING TO SOLVE A SERIES OF MURDERS. I HAD A PROBLEM REALLY LIKING ANY OF THE CHARACTERS THE ONLY ONE I DID LIKE WAS THE (ME) DOCTOR JACQUES ARNAUD. LORNE'S PERSONALPROBLEMS SEEM TO JUST GET IN HER WAY, SHE SHOULD BE A SINGLE WOMAN. THIS IS ANOTHER SERIES BUT IT DOES END THEN LEAVES A TIDBIT LEADING INTO THE NEXT BOOK.
review 2: A fantastic mystery thriller that had you guessing for the most part right til the end. A little hard to identity or have any real opinion of the main character but hopefully that changes with the next book. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about Dr Arnaud and the friendship/borderline relationship that is happening but we will wa
... moreit and see how that plays out. I didn't think much of the husband really, he simply came across as wimpy and whiny. A great start to the series and I can't wait to read on and find out what Comley has in store for us next. less
