review 1: I was really excited about this Anna Brookes series. I am quite a sucker for the kicka** heroines, and her steamy partner in crime. Although, upon immediate introduction to Anna's character I was just not really feeling her character. She seems very conceded and ostentatious for someone that has been living her lifestyle. I felt that Anna's eagerness to gain excessive attention completely abandons the low profile personality that she really should have been living with such an occupation. Unfortunately, this was my reaction within the first couple chapters of the story. The story continues from this point with much of the same moderately enjoyable scenarios. I can not truly say that the Hit series was a loss, but it was not everything that I hoped for it to be. Nothing tha... moret I ran into ruined the story, but I feel that some of it was exaggerated and fairly unrealistic. ~BookWhisperer Reviewer Jax~
review 2: Anna Brooks life hasn't been bad but at a early age Anna learned to make things look better than what they actually were. She puts on a brave face and holds a secret from the outside world. On her 15th birthday, Anna's life is forever changed and will never be the same gain. Anna becomes a new person and sets out to do what she is the best at. Things are going good for her she does her job and lives her life, no complications until an encounter with Ben at the Pier One Bar rocks her world. The next week of Anna's life will be unlike anything she has ever experienced.This book was AMAZING! I love how Margaret thinks outside the box and doesn't write the usual lovey mushy stories, I was left in shock with a huge book hangover! This book is HOT, HOT, HOT, Ben will make you want to stake out your local cop shop and look for a hot cop, Anna is equally hot and a BAD ASS! The story line is awesome!! I cant wait to read more about Anna Brooks and that hot police of chief Ben! less
