review 1: X-23 is a great new character to enjoy but I loved seeing infrequent characters such as Gambit and Jubilee again. Though I enjoyed the Spiderman crossover, I am not sure the Future Federation was necessary for the plot. (Unfortunately the first volume in the series was unavailable to read. Nonetheless, the story picked right up... mostly thanks to a "previously" paragraph at the beginning of the book.)
review 2: Sana Takeda did the art for the first few chapters of this volume as she did for volumes 1&3. Let me just say it looks wonderful and I loved how all of the characters looked. Even though this is an X-23 story which is by necessity fairly morose (Laura deals with self harm) it is still very fun thanks to addition of Gambit and Jubilee. I love seeing R
... moreemy and Logan in the protective father role and it was great to see Laura make a friend in the vivacious Jubilee. Laura needs people like Gambit and Jubilee to help her through the darkness. Even though I didn't know what the whole Captain Universe thing was about at the end I was still able to follow the story without being confused. less

Vampire Jubilee and Gambit all in the same book + X-23, Spider-Man and a horde of demons. So good!
