review 1: The plot moved a little slower than in the previous books, but the climax and battle sequences were well-written; the purpose, however, was incomplete and felt rushed. The Jade and Malachite, Malachite and Moon, Moon and Celadon relationships were unexplored. Shade's issues were worked out a little too quickly considering what he had gone through with the Fell. Having said that, I really did enjoy this book and am hoping the next installment produces a clutch for Moon and Jade.
review 2: I recieved The Siren Depths free through Goodreads First Reads... Please believe me when I say, this in no way clouded my judgement of this book. You are quite quickly sucked into this tragic, but ultimately beautiful story of self discovery and triumph. I loved the characters,
... more who had depth and substance, and though they were not all 'human', they shared the same struggles that we do. Love and loss, friendship and betrayal, kidnapping and general mayhem. This was a very engaging story and my only regret is that after the first few chapters I was wishing that I had read the first two stories, which I will now need to hunt down. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and have no problem recommending it to others. less
