review 1: I always enjoy Martha Wells' writing, she always adds humanity and humor to her heroes and heroines, and she does a very nice job of adding dimensions to the characters George Lucas created for Star Wars that they would otherwise lack. I recommend Razor's Edge especially to Star Wars fans. I picked it up on the strength of Martha Wells being the author, and I was not disappointed. Well, and I am also a Star Wars fan.
review 2: I read this in the first portion of 2014 (For heaven's sake--almost at the end of the year already) and recall it to be dry in writing and with an unremarkable plot, but as far as characterization went it excelled. Star Wars's atmosphere was just fantastic, which this replicates to a T, together with a rather unique writing style.
