review 1: Destiny and her friends ditched school classes, and explore the world outside their community. They face problems most importantly on relationships between people, especially about whether going to meet the parent to get along together. I learned an important lesson from this book: Try new things when you feel you are able to do it. Just like the characters in the story, we have to wish for a lucky day to motivate us to do new things to challenge ourselves. I recommend this book to a person who seeks for some enlightenment in life.
review 2: I generally do like road trip theme books and movies (It's why picked this novel for my summer reading) however, this isn't in. Yes they have detours, they have quirky but love-able characters, but Destiny is never what I e
... morexpected. I thought she came from a broken home, and that would have satisfied me. When I found out her family was dead and she blocked them out of her memory, well that didn't sit well with me. I felt like the author needed to surprise her audience by giving it this twist to end, but it felt too forced, no sincere. Maybe if she would have written it in another character's point of view besides Destiny while still telling her story, then it could have worked, but for the most part this whole novel is just forced. less

I borrowed this book from Liv's shelves at her recommendation. It was a nice young adult read.
