review 1: I have not read the book that precedes this one, but I enjoyed this one nevertheless. The predicament of the main character(s) was an interesting one, as was the future world portrayed in the book. I was interested right away to find out where the book was going and how things would work out for the protagonist. I found the pace just right, and the narration in the audiobook was very engaging. Good YA science fiction, of which, in my opinion, there's generally not enough!
