review 1: A quick read, interesting premise. A pharmaceutical company, owned by a neo-nazi sociopath, is working on a prenatal vitamin that also delivers a medicine to induce miscarriage or stillbirths. The pill is being tested in prenatal clinics in poor areas where the mothers are primarily African American or hispanic. When a NICU physician starts asking questions about a particular mother and her premature baby people start being murdered. At the same time a chemist working on the formulation against his will cannot take it anymore and disappears along with his wife and children.
review 2: After three pregnant, homeless women die within a week of one another inside the emergency room of County Hospital in East Los Angeles, Dr. Kelly Morales begins to question why and
... more how. Meanwhile, a cryptic email is sent to journalist Georgia (Gem) Michaels, insisting she look into the brutal slaying of a San Diego County family in 2008 that was chalked up to The Mexican Cartel. At first, Gem thinks the email is just a joke, but her gut tells her that maybe checking out her handsome but odd neighbor is worth her time. In a race against good versus true evil, Dr. Morales and Gem search to expose the truth behind the deaths and murders that make up Project Covert Reich. less
