review 1: I really loved this book, it gave all the information I needed, in the beginning of the book. I rate this book a four out of five. QB1, by Mike Lupica is a great book overall.It's about a boy named Jake Cullen. He is third shadowed by his brother, Wyatt Cullen, a superstar Quarterback for Granger Cowboys, he went to the state championship and won. Jake is also shadowed by his Dad, Joe Cullen, who had done the same as Wyatt.It's Jake's freshman year,but there is a problem in him getting the quarterback spot, Casey,the guy with a gun for an arm. Will he get the quarterback spot or not? Will he take his team all the way, just like his brother? If you want to know, here you go, read QB1!
review 2: QB 1 is about a high school Texas football player living up to his ... moreolder brothers football success standards. The main character, Jake, is a freshman at Granger High and is on the football team. He must live up to his famous brother, Wyatt's, standards and lead his team to a second straight championship while competing in everything with a junior, Casey Lindell. Jake must earn his place in his football team, his family with Casey harassing him. Jake leads his team to a championship as a freshman, and wins respect from his dad and his brother Wyatt. This book deserves my rating because it really shows what it's like to be in high school and to play football. I think mostly everyone would enjoy this book except for people who don't enjoy sports. less
