review 1: Miranda Dickinson writes the kind of fluffy romance perfect for a rainy day or a summer holiday. It doesn't challenge you but her books are filled with such warmth and humour that you don't mind. The dialogue can be a little awkward at times but this is made up for with a lot of heart and a good dose of romance. In this respect, 'Take a Look at Me Now' does not disappoint, though I did think that the male lead didn't come off as strong as the love interests in her other books, he came across a little two-dimensional but there was a whole lot more in terms of female empowerment with a great message about seizing opportunities. If what you want is a few smiles, a bit of light romance and some escapism, this book is just the ticket!
review 2: LOVED, loved, loved t
... morehis book. Took me a longer time to read it as I read the paperback rather than kindle, for some reason, I read quicker on kindle....odd??? A loss of a job makes Nell do something out of her ordinary, planed out life. Off to San Francisco for 8 weeks to visit her cousin changes Nell for the better. Who wouldn't want to be a friend of Nell, why on earth did the 2 girls she shared a flat with in England not embrace her more, not a huge part in the novel but just something that made me wonder. Love life with twists and turns and a dream future comes her way. less
