review 1: This is my first novel by Mo Hayder and it didn't disappoint. Nail biting with intricate weaving of characters and storyline it was quite easy to follow. I don't want to give out too many details about the novel, other than it won't disappoint. It takes place in the countryside of the Bristol area of the U.K. and a detective is trying to find a former psychiatric patient that was inadvertently released into the general population that maybe shouldn't have ? The hunt is on trying to locate him before he does anymore harm to people.
review 2: This book was good but certainly no Birdman which is the creepiest and best book by Mo Hayder as far as I am concerned. I only give this one 2.5 stars for a few reasons though. Flea's story was irrelevant to the main sto
... morery. It seemed as though it was used to bulk up the book and I think a brief flashback in the next book (Wolf) would have been enough to let the series reader know what had happened. I guessed the twist from one event in the middle of the book and after ending the book, there seemed to be too many convenient coincidences. I would still recommend this book but not say that it is Mo Hayder at her best. less
