review 1: Elephant and Snake are talking to each other. Their best friends Piggie and Brian Bat just met for the first time and they are playing. At first Elephant and Snake aren’t worried. But then they start to wonder if their best friends will become best friends and leave Elephant and Snake out in the cold. This is another great Elephant and Piggie book. Especially because it deals with something that many youngsters wonder about: will my friends always be my friend and like me best of all? It is an important thought, and Willems deals with it in a clever and amusing way. Those young kiddos who are just learning to read will become best friends with Elephant and Piggie if they haven’t already.

So I loved this book because I knew it would be a book addressing that fear/worry about your close friend making other friends and leaving you behind… how Mo perfectly pulled this book off? It is Mo Willems, that is how. Loved loved loved… If all friends could balance off one another like Gerald and Piggie it would be lovely. *I loved that there were FOUR voices in this book and when my son and I read it aloud, we had fun reading some lines jointly, etc. less
