review 1: The one thing that really stood out, to me, and documented in this book, compared to similar books I've read is the fact that Obama actually WANTS the economy to fail and the country to go bankrupt in, order to facilitate "a fundamental change to our country and economy". There is no other explanation for his reckless Socialist, un-American behavior. It is all by design; he is following the playbook, "Rules For Radicals" to the letter. Anyone who honestly takes a look at who Obama has surrounded himself with, and how diametrically opposed his actions are to the Constitutional principals he swore to uphold; will see it as such. Obama's GOAL is to destroy the free market system and "redistribute" the wealth. Scary thought when it finally hits. His actions illustrate hi... mores desire to sacrifice our national sovereignty to the UN and the rest of the world. He has diminished the US in the eyes of the world and appears weak as his actions and foreign policy bear out. So many people are and have been so hoodwinked to what is happening to this great country. I just hope it can start to be turned around in four years! The biggest problem facing us is the dependence our society has on "the government". That government dependence, along with our weakened military and once strong relationships with our "allies" will be hard to undo.
review 2: Wonderful book. Dr. Crowley's style is substantive, funny, and timely. Did I mention funny? She goes through the disaster of the last few years and really breaks it down in a way that doesn't feel like she's just bashing a political opponent or just carping on policies she doesn't like. It takes you through issues and explains how the America as we have know it has been practically shoved off a cliff, and wondering What the [expletive deleted] Just Happened? The best part of the book is actually her Happy Warrior mentality when she takes the time to go through many, many issues and tells us what she thinks should be done. It is so thoughtful and it disarms any critic who might dismiss the book as just an anti-Obama tome. Every section is great but the last makes this book a must read. Too bad politicians will just keep doing what they have always done and not take the advice in this book to heart. This might be the last exit on this road to ruin we are flying down and I'm afraid we are just going to whiz past it. less
