review 1: 3.5 stars. I'm really liking the four central characters now...and I have to wait a year for the next book. This was the best book by far. I'm happy I've read these novels. But I probably won't go back to them until the last one comes out. Then I'll reread them and finish the series. The fact that I don't want to reread them every time an installment comes out is the only reason this book does not have a higher rating than the last one.
review 2: This is the third book in this series and it still captivated me. I like how the author is bringing Magnus and Cleo together- I think that he is good if he can find the right path and perhaps Cleo can help him. He certainly has protected her and shown her he can be decent. I hope Lucia comes around. She seemed to b... moree headed in the wrong direction at the end of the book. I was surprised at the twist with Nic. It will be interesting to see how this ends. Cruel twists and turns- people not knowing who they can trust--- magic-- elementals- lots of things to keep the reader excited. less
