review 1: 3.5 starsThis book was infinitely better than the first. It was so much more intricate. The plot and the characters are well defined. The plot is great, but the ability to connect emotionally to the characters leaves something to be desired. Lucia is very surface, as well as Jonas. Magnus is my favorite character, and the only one to which I really feel attached. I quickly flew through this book, reading solidly for the past three days. I have hope for this series. Maybe #3 will finally reel me in.
