review 1: Audience: PrimaryGenre: French Realistic Fiction Award Won: Batchelder Award Honor in 2010Text-to-selfIn "Big Wolf and Little Wolf" it's the story of how Big Wolf sat under a tree alone and did everything himself alone until one day Little Wolf came. Big Wolf wasn't a big fan of Little Wolf at first but then Little Wolf disappeared. When Little Wold disappeared Big Wolf felt "uneasy" , "sad", "lonely". At last Little Wolf had returned which made Big Wolf's heart whole again. This simple, yet sad story reminds me of how I felt when my sister moved out. At first when she was there those 17 or so years, I didn't care much for her. I did my thing and she did hers. But after she left it felt weird having the house all to myself. Until two years later she finally moved back home... more and it feels right again.
review 2: Audience: This story is for both boys and girls especially for those students who do not want others to be better than they are. This story shows the importance of friendship and kindness all students can benefit from.Appeal: The pictures in this story are decorated as a painting. The author uses many vibrant colors and great brush strokes to show the passion of the story.Application: This book is a great book to read to students to show them everyone can be a little envious of others, but when you open your mind to others personalities you may find others personalities may make fantastic friends. It shows not everyone is how he or she may come across. When introducing this story it is important to get an idea from the students what friendship means to them, and if they have ever been envious of anyone before reading the story.Award List: Batchelder Award List 2010Copyright: 2009 less
