The book features friendship and adventure which would appeal to a student who likes to be on the edge of their seat as he tries to find his friend.Appeal: This book was originally made in France, so children might find that interesting. Also the cover is colorful and invites a person in. The title insinuates a mystery having to do with the orange and the book deals with friendship and realizing things about yourself.Batchelder Award Honor 2010
review 2: Translated from the French; Brun-Cosme has written 20 novels & picture books for children. Illustrator also French -- illustrated over 50 children's books. Definitely has a different sensibility. Artwork is notable, intriguing -- wolves are a bi... moret whimsical. When Little Wolf disappears after setting off to look for the perfect orange, Big Wolf is distraught and goes to look for him. He realizes how much he loves Little Wolf. Eventually, after a night searching the jungle of the city, Big Wolf finds Little Wolf on a new, different hill near the seashore, where they live happily ever after. less
