review 1: I liked the book. I was very excited to learn more about Ashwini! This is the hunter that would randomly call Sara the head of the guild and comment things like she had a secret stash of grenade launchers. Her psychic ability was hinted at as if it was an interesting ability and quirk. It was as if she would say these out of the blue comments to help her friends when they finally realized what Ash meant, they would smile and shake their heads like, damn, how'd she know?! Then this book is released and her gift is scary, and something to pity her over. Really? She also went from being a badass hunter to another whiny chick victim.
review 2: Book 7 of the Guild Hunter series.This is Ash and Janvier's (the Cajun) story. They have been playing a cat and mouse game... more of flirtation until they are sent after a killer - together. Two of my favorite side characters finally have gotten their own book. An entertaining read. I highly recommend you read the previous books in the series before starting this one, though. The story arch builds on each book. Besides, you really don't want to miss this series. less
