review 1: Maybe I've read too many books like this over the summer. This one is about a girl going into middle school and trying to find her place. Her best friend doesn't seem to have the same interests as she does and so she finds a new friend living in a house by himself. The story revolves around a neighborhood full of people with secrets and how everyone finds out about them. It wasn't my favorite.
review 2: This was a cute coming of age story where Minty is stuck between growing up and not wanting to grow up. Middle school is so hard and yet this charming book proves to kids that everyone has their secrets. Kids are not always what they seem on the outside and Minty and Raymond learn this as they try to discover who the secrets belong too that they find in The ... moreSecret Tree. This is one I will pass on to my god daughters as they struggle with that time in their lives where you want to stay little but have to grow up. less
