review 1: My grade = 88% - B+I found a few pages of this short novella attached to the copy of Anansi Boys that I was reading, and I recognized it as another part of Gaiman's American Gods universe - so I found a copy on e-bay, but haven't read much else from it.The main character in both books, Shadow, seems to live mainly in the present. He doesn't seem to remember too much detailed information about his past. At one point in the story he admits to remembering something about dying in the tree (the main part of American Gods) but he can't remember, exactly.Simply, Shadow is staying at a small inn in the Scottish Highlands and doing a wlaking tour, when he is approached by a stranger and hired as a bodyguard.Interesting events ensue.....
review 2: I haven't liked the
... moreother books in the series either. Shadow is a terrible character, especially for a protagonist. He is devoid of purpose and seems like he should be suicidally depressed. The author carefully researches myth and legend and then shares it only just enough for literary-humanities-classics types to 'get it' instead of actually making events accessible. If a book makes the reader feel stupid, is it the fault of the reader or author? less

Entretenido, una continuación de Aerican Gods, el mismo estilo.

Too short to be of much interest as a standalone story.

I like the style, but I found it pointless.
